In July 2000, Lidl burst onto the Irish grocery market and changed the face of shopping in Ireland for the better with top quality products made available at the lowest possible prices. Since then, we have opened over 190 stores across the island of Ireland .

In Lidl, we take seriously our role within the communities in which we operate and strive to achieve “A better tomorrow”.

We are proud to work with over 200 local suppliers and actively engage in communities across Ireland through our charity partnerships, donation programmes and sponsorship of grassroots initiatives.

Alongside our community initiatives we are also committed to the responsible sourcing of products and ingredients, engaging in long-term, sustainable relationships with our suppliers and stakeholders, protecting our environment by reducing our carbon footprint and encouraging and developing our dedicated team of over 5000 colleagues.
