EmployAbility
EmployAbility supports jobseekers with disabilities, injuries and health challenges to find employment based on their strengths and interests. The programme works with employers to maximise success when jobseekers are looking for work.
BITCI provides an EmployAblity Service for Dublin North and Dublin West.
How the service works
EmployAbility provides a FREE one to one personalised service and commitment to working with you for up to one year.
- A referral is made through your local Intreo office.
- A Job Coach is assigned to you and upon meeting in-person will agree how you will work together.
- Work with your Job Coach to identify your skills, interests and challenges and set goals.
- Look at training courses or work experience to increase skills and confidence and boost your CV.
- Meet your Job Coach regularly to keep the momentum going.
- Receive help with CV and interview preparation, learn from the experience of applying for work.
- Upon securing employment, your Job Coach will provide support with social welfare, paperwork, developing a routine and communicating with your employer.
Who is eligible for this programme?
- Adults aged over 18 who have a health issue, injury or disability. You do not have to be on a disability or social welfare payment, and you do not need a GP letter.
- Feel ready for work. Our service is for people who are motivated and able, with the right supports, to work in the open labour market.
- Willing and able to work independently for a minimum of 8 hours per week.
- Available for meetings. Regular meetings with your Job Coach is key to success.
