Our Collective Network

Collaboration is central to BITCI’s engagement with members. This is done in multiple ways including flagship events, collective campaigns, workshops, peer discussions and webinars all designed to share, challenge and inspire members to advance their sustainability agenda. These are delivered through our annual calendar of events which is a mix of online and in-person events. Throughout the year, we engage with sustainability practitioners and C-suite executives working to ensure that strategic ambition is translated to impactful action for business.

As a convenor, BITCI knows the regular Member’s Network meetings in Dublin and Munster facilitate cross sectoral relationships and learning among sustainability practitioners to upskill and empower themselves with latest trends and insights.

Our Collective Network

The Leader’s Group

Unique to BITCI is the CEO-led Leader’s Group. This influential group of CEO’s are united in their commitment to drive innovation, leadership and collective business action on sustainability. This Leaders’ Group functions as the Research and Development hub for the wider network.

The founders of the Leaders’ Group were CEOs of Business Working Responsibly Mark certified companies. Membership is open to Mark certified companies, and companies with demonstrated and evidenced maturity.

The Leaders’ Group works to advance collective business leadership on sustainability and leads on collective initiatives for the network. The Leaders’ Group has strategically impacted the network by:

  • Providing a unique CEO platform dedicated to sustainability.
  • Leading on strategic collective actions including the Low Carbon Pledge, Elevate, the Inclusive Workplace Pledge and Sustainability Capabilities Diagnostic.
  • Publishing reports that demonstrate thought-leadership including the Inclusive Employer Framework, Progressing Towards Science-Based Targets Research, Shaping the Future of Worker and the Sustainability Handbook.

By joining the Leaders’ Group, companies make a statement that:

  • Senior leaders are committed to the sustainability agenda and want to drive action beyond their own business.
  • The company’s level of sustainability maturity is sufficient that it can actively engage in innovation and the co-design of collective actions.
  • The company recognises the importance of collective business action to create change, and is invested in taking an active role.
