Time to Count

A numeracy support programme for children in 3rd class which aims to:

  • Build children’s confidence around numbers.
  • Foster children’s enjoyment around numbers.
  • To reinforce children’s conceptual understanding of numbers.
  • Support flexibility and perseverance in solving problems.

What:

Volunteers play numeracy games with small groups of children for 40 minutes once a week for 10 weeks.

How:

Volunteers are paired with a buddy, each volunteer participates for one block of 5 weeks.

Who:

8-14 volunteers who enjoy maths and boardgames.


Training and session plans provided to all volunteers along with ongoing support from a dedicated BITCI Co-ordinator.
