Sinéad Patton
Chief Financial and Commercial Officer of Veolia in Ireland and the Nordics and Finance Director of Veolia’s Industrial, Water and Energy business in the UK, Sinéad Patton joined the energy division of the Veolia Group as its Financial Controller in early 2005.
In the intervening years, she has held various positions within the Group, including Regional Director – Northern Ireland, until assuming her current responsibilities across the Group’s full remit of the energy, water and waste management services in 2024.
Ecological transformation is Veolia’s purpose. Ecological transformation means acting to reconcile human progress and environmental protection. We develop and implement solutions to reduce pollution of our vital resources. We preserve those resources from depletion. We implement solutions to decarbonise the way we produce goods and live our lives. At Veolia, we tackle economic, social and environmental issues together to the benefit of our customers and society as whole.
A key member of the leadership team charged with bringing Veolia’s Purpose to life, Sinéad is passionate about helping others achieve their potential. She has embodied this in her co-chairing of the Business in the Community Leaders subgroup on Social Inclusion since 2018, seeing the publication of the Inclusive Employer Blueprint in 2019 and more recently, the launch of Elevate, the Inclusive Workplace Pledge.
Prior to joining Veolia, Sinéad secured a Masters in Accounting from the Michael Smurfit Business School and worked in Georgia Pacific and KPMG. In her spare time she enjoys getting out in nature, whether walking, running or cycling.
